Conflict Prevention in Rwanda

From May to July 1996, an AfricAvenir team headed by Prof. Kum’ a Ndumbe III (with Stefan Jansen and Aline Beta) was sent to Rwanda in order to recommend ways in which conflict prevention mechanisms could be integrated into future GTZ development projects. The study was commissioned by the GTZ itself. Inspired by the African palavers held on different topics in Cameroon, the AfricAvenir team developed an integrative and holistic approach including workshops, seminars, popular theater, dance and African palavers.
