African Perspectives Windhoek: Madame Brouette

In the framework of the film series “African Perspectives”, AfricAvenir proudly presents the film “Madame Brouette” by Moussa Sene Absa. A murder investigation frames the background for narrating the story of Madame Brouette – a strong woman, who is comitted to make a living for herself and her daughter in some poor neighbourhood in Dakar, Senegal. On Thursday, 29 May 2008 at 18 hours at the FNCC.

‘African Perspectives’ in Windhoek/Namibia

‘African Perspectives’ Windhoek will show movies which reflect the wide variety of the work of African film producers and of African movie productions. The movies selected come from the entire continent and many have received international festival awards. ‘African Perspectives’ Windhoek is a co-operation project of AfricAvenir International e.V., FNCC (Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre) and Goethe-Centre/NaDS, that will be launched on Friday the 6th of July 2007.

African Perspectives ist ein Projekt von AfricAvenir, Goethe-Zentrum/ NaDS und Franco Namibian Cultural Centre und zeigt Filme afrikanischer Filmemacherinnen und Filmemacher, welche die große thematische, kulturelle, sprachliche und ästhetische Vielfalt der afrikanischen Kinos wider spiegeln.
